Spark Birding Joins the Acadia Birding Festival

Highlights from the Pelagic Cruise

Peter Alden and Chris Bensley exhibited for Spark Birding at the popular Acadia Birding Festival this past weekend. Peter guided field trips, including the scenic pelagic cruise to observe oceanic birds and many species that only nest on islands.

From the deck of the whale watch catamaran "Friendship V" we saw hundreds of Atlantic Puffins, thousands of Black Guillemots, dozens of Razorbills, plus three species of terns: Common, Roseate and Arctic. Along the way we visited 5 islands including Petit Manan Island and Mount Desert Rock.
