Getting started on a budget - What's essential? We can help
A beginning birder can get started on a modest budget. Plus, there are plenty of free tools to begin your learning adventure. But to really enjoy your outings, and to have fun with identifying and documenting your birding, a good pair of binoculars, a camera with telephoto, and a guidebook are the main items. From there, as you interest grows, you can add to your gear list.
